On the eve of Hank's 6th birthday, a throwback Thursday to honor baby Hank. He was about 20 months old here. One of the very first photos I took with my first smartphone. I'm so glad I had it in my pocket to capture this adorable little fella.
Maggie's valentines party was a sock hop last week so we whipped up a poodle skirt for the occasion while we were off of school on Tuesday. She loved it!
Thank goodness for great friends and neighbors! Our power went out last Tuesday and didn't come back till supper time Wednesday. The streets were really decent so James went on in to work and the kids and I spent the day with the Welches. Afterwards we had supper with Grandmama while the house warmed up a bit. We were able to keep warm, catch up with friends, and even get a bit of work done while the kids played. Not too shabby!
Maggie's regular checkup went well and we are to continue with these same glasses. Follow up in 3 months. She got a sucker, ring, and bracelet and escaped without having her eyes dilated so she was thrilled.
A boy after my own heart! Hank decided that his ninja turtle lunch box was the perfect container for his variety of tic tacs. He's actually being pretty responsible about it too. Love it!
It took me a minute to realize the whistling I was hearing just now wasn't coming from James like I assumed. Hank was working on a giant paper airplane and whistling an actual tune. Wow! How did that happen? He seemed pretty pleased with himself but kept all nonchalant about the whole thing. What a big kid.
