Hank-ism

This afternoon I told Hank that if he would stay quiet until I finished folding this stack of laundry, then he could get out of timeout. "Do you think you can do that?" I asked.

"Yeah," he sighed, "But it's going to be a challenge."

Maggie's Easter Dress

I got Maggie's Easter dress mostly finished this afternoon and tried it on her and she acted like such a GIRL! I showed it to her and asked if she wanted to try it on and she immediately plopped down on the floor and started making the "more" sign. She began helping me take off her pajamas, then sweetly stuck her head out for me to put the dress on. Then she paraded around in it for a little while.

I used the same pattern as her birthday dress, but the bandanna makes it a little fuller. Since our serger is spending time at Mom's house right now I used French seams for the two side seams so it wouldn't have a ragged edge inside. I also used elastic thread on the sleeves -- my first attempt at using elastic thread! It worked great, but I think I may have messed up the little thing the bobbin sits in on my sewing machine. Grrrr.... Hopefully that will be able to be fixed easily.

Now I can't wait till Easter :)

"Now your hair looks probably much good"

Hank very deliberately instructed James to squat down and hold his cape in place then proceeded to "cut" his hair like Mr. Mike does. He even told James to look down at those puppy dogs -- like Mr. Mike does with him when it's time to cut the hair on his neck.

Afterwards he treated me to a haircut while pretending to be Mrs. Kelly (my hairstylist). Such serious work for a Saturday.
