Pretend

Hank was serving us "tic tacs" from that toy radio earlier. Now that he's distracted by cartoons Maggie is happily loading up her pail with as many imaginary tic tacs as it will hold. Bless her heart :)

Movie star glasses

Bought Maggie some oversized kid sunglasses at the target dollar spot because all of hers were broken. She's carefully saying "cheese" here without moving her lips.

"I make a mess"

She found the basket of Avery's hand me down shoes and went to town trying on as many as she could. That girl and her shoes!!!

Arrrrrgh!

Hank and Maggie had fun dressing up as pirates for Sammy Hardy's 2nd birthday party. I covered one lens of Maggie's glasses in black t-shirt fabric and amazingly she's left it on there for HOURS now. Maybe we should have tried that type of patch to begin with.

Big Girl

This morning I got Maggie down from the breakfast table and told her to go to Hank's room and take off her pajamas--it was time to get dressed. We do this every morning but I normally go with her and assist with changing her clothes. Today I was trying to buy myself a little time to clean up the breakfast mess in the kitchen. So, when I got to Hank's room I found her totally naked (except for her socks) and trying really REALLY hard to put on the new diaper I had already laid out for her. She really wants to do most things herself these days. We hear "Let me do it!!!" at least a couple dozen times a day.

Once we got her dressed I tried to put a green bow in her hair (to match the green shirt she was wearing) and she said "No! I want a pink bow!" just as clear as could be.

Then when she was completely ready, I said "go help Hank watch Phineas and Ferb in the living room" and she marched right in and sat down and did just that. So helpful and so girly. I'm kinda proud.

Sleepy head

Hank has come in the past two mornings after he woke up with Pickle Johnson in his shirt, claiming that it's his little brother. Too silly.

Goobers

Look what I found these two goobers doing. Maggie is in a DOLL stroller. But at least they were cooperating.
