I'm big!

Maggie is showing the kitties how she can be "big" by standing on the picnic table bench behind the couch.

New kittens!

We stopped at Jaimee's house yesterday on our way home from the beach to pick up two kittens. Hooray! They're super cute and seem to like it ok here so far.

French braid!

Well my skills are a little rusty and Maggie kept trying to brush it WHILE I was braiding it, but we're having a fun time playing with hair in the condo this afternoon.

"I want to go to a beach!"

12+ hours and we finally made it.

They weren't finished cleaning the condo at 7:15 pm so we played in the sand until we could unload the car.

Maggie has been asking to go "to a beach" all week. Hooray for vacation!

Big Day!

Maggie has TWO big milestones to document today:

#1 I think I'm ready to say it out loud... "Maggie is potty trained" There, now it's official. I'm sure we'll still have the occasional accident, but she's been SUCH an easy girl to potty train! And she loves wearing her big-girl panties.

#2 We went in for her ophthalmologist checkup this afternoon and they said she has absolutely NO eye crossing and she can stop wearing her glasses for now! Seriously! That can easily change as her vision changes, and of course we have to keep a close watch on it, but that's the verdict. Believe it or not she wasn't all that happy about that. She fussed and said "I want my glasses" in the car afterwards, so I didn't argue. I went ahead and let her wear them. She looks out over the top most of the time anyway.

She doesn't look quite right without them, does she? I guess we'll get used to non-glasses too :)

Classic James

Okay Miss Noelle asked, and here I present to you all a lovely timeline of James Richard School Photos. Thanks to Grandmama for getting out all these great memories :)

I'll add more candid shots when I have a moment to scan them.

Couple of Clowns

Hooray! Mom scanned and emailed me this photo from the original wearing of the clown costume. This was Halloween 1982, so I was a little younger than Hank is here.

Do we have the exact same hair or WHAT?!?!

I love it :)
